PSPG Celebrates 32nd Anniversary with “Health Fair and Bloodletting Activity “

As part of its upcoming 32nd anniversary celebration, on April 13 and 14, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the Police Security and Protection Group (PSPG) in partnership with PNP Health Service and Adventist Church conducted health fair and bloodletting activities to its personnel held at PSPG Headquarters, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.

On April 13, 2023, the PSPG initiated free medical services such as Medical Consultation, Random Blood Sugar Monitoring and Eye Check-up held at PSPG Conference Room. The PNP Dental Service also allotted the day exclusively for PSPG personnel’s dental services. In the afternoon, the PNP Health Service conducted Health Care Seminar with PLTCOL JANETTE B BAUTISTA and PLT MAREM C SOSING as Guest Lecturers. They discussed mental health care and healthy lifestyle. Medicines and vitamins were likewise distributed.

On April 14, 2023, from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM, The PSPG in partnership with Adventist Church conducted Bloodletting Activity wherein 109 personnel of this Group donated their blood. The bloodletting aims to create a network of blood donors ready to serve those who are having difficulty in finding donors, to spread awareness on the social impact and health benefits of donating blood and serves as an opportunity to show compassion to those who are in need of blood for transfusion.

The PSPG expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and other medical practitioners from the PNP Health Service and Adventist Church headed by Ms. Marivic Somosot, Coordinator of the Adventist Manila Medical Center, who immensely contributed in the success of the said event.

The PSPG’s motto of “Service First” and its mission to provide protective security to government officials, foreign dignitaries, and private individuals authorized for protection, as well as its responsibility to provide security to vital government installations and participate in major event security coordination, are all grounded on the commitment to serve the people.

The four principles of developing Aptitude, maintaining the right Attitude, taking prompt Action, and facing Accountability, or the 4As service principles which the PSPG advocates and serve as the foundation of the PSPG’s “Service First” philosophy, were also evident in “Health Fair and Bloodletting Activity,” which is exemplified in this simple but noble act of caring.

The PSPG’s “Health Fair and Bloodletting Activity” is also among the many ways that the PSPG lives up to its motto of “Service First.”
